An evening full of flavour and conservation was held at Coleg Ceredigion at the end of January. Lead by Huw Morgan and chef and lecturer Sam Everton and hosted by the GWCT Ceredigion Committee the students provided an amazing friendly front of house service with mouthwatering food. The whole room was buzzing, with informative presentations from Lee Oliver (Director for Wales) and Owen Williams (GWCT Wales Chairman). The Welsh Wind Distillery attended as guests and kindly donated the gin for the Bees Knees cocktails. The committee look forward to working closely with the College again to bring game on to the menu at other events.
Susan Loxdale the Ceredigion GWCT Committee Chair said “The evening was a wonderful experience, not only did the college showcase the amazing game and local produce we have here in Wales, but also the exceptional young talent we have in students and chefs in Wales. It also provided a perfect environment for GWCT Cymru to talk about the work we do to a wider audience.” Close to £500 was raised on the night to help fund GWCT’s work in Wales.
Upcoming GWCT Wales Events
