A successfully day at the the Denbigh and Flint show. Yet another chance to embrace Wales’ farming traditions and culture. This show captures the essence of Wales’ farming community and shows how they can work together to engage the larger community and give everyone a sense of belonging. The GWCT team were able to participate in this event by setting up a stand in the rural care section. The GWCT team appreciated the opportunity to network, build relationships and show our work. To finish the day, we received the second prize for best trade stand.
An event like this is a great attraction for drawing a wide range of people from different backgrounds, whether from agriculture or not. But what makes GWCT important is that there are a range of initiatives, projects and evets that are meaningful and interesting to a broad audience, so everyone can become involved. Additionally, by engaging the younger audience with entertaining yet educational activities, this emphasises the importance of educating children about conservation and biodiversity from a young age. This encapsulates our passion for conservation and biodiversity, but also towards getting everyone involved.
A day and a half and definitely a day to remember! Definitely a day that was on our side, even the weather! Congratulations to all the organisers on another great show and thank you for being part of this amazing day. On to the next!
